Role Description

This unique opportunity sits within the GMS Merchant Acquisition Team and the key responsibilities include signing new deals and growing existing partnerships. You will be tasked with penetrating new horizontal and vertical industries whilst also managing large B2B and strategic accounts.

This is an exciting role for a strategic sales professional that is comfortable working in a complex deal making environment. You will possess extensive experience engaging with senior C level clients and prospects, often in the context of a strategic and financial discussion.

Principal Responsibilities

Conduct industry and portfolio analysis in order to develop growth strategies for both new and existing partnerships

Align and agree with key issuing partners on growth strategies and identified new opportunities

Engage and sell to key decision makers of both existing and targeted clients, often at C level

Drive the end to end deal process including opportunity sizing, analysis of financial models, development of deal constructs, contractual negotiations, deal implementation and monitoring

Undertake strategic and active portfolio / pipeline management

Provide key inputs into cost-benefit analysis for each initiative / deal construct

Work effectively with all other internal partners including Pricing, Risk, Finance, Payment Consulting Group, Legal and Compliance in the end to end deal process

Qualifications

8-12 years of relevant experience

Success will be measured in terms of scores in an annual Satisfaction survey administered by a 3rd Party research company, internal SLAs on timeliness, case reduction volume trends, & deployment of new capabilities.

Regional contact point

As we periodically deploy different product-based and Compliance programs across the world, play the role of regional contact point for the central Global Servicing team both in terms of rollout of various programs and also being the eyes and ears regionally in providing input back into the central team. This will enable us to make sure standard global programs take into account local market conditions.

Provide senior management with timely finance-related analysis and recommendations across a range of critical business decisions, including long term business planning, transformation and partnership strategy.

Yearly Planning / Investment Optimization: serve as a key contact for the centralized HQ Planning & Forecasting/DSCOE teams while driving the business forecasting and investment optimization processes for the JAPA Global Network Service business. Gather firsthand inputs from business partners to accurately project business performance/investments based on current trends, risks, and opportunities.

Results Tracking & Reporting: Provide detailed analysis and supporting commentary on actuals vs. budget variances partnering with DSCOE/Controllership. Examine monthly results and P&L outcomes, communicate business performance and inform senior management on JAPA region financial reporting data.

Qualifications

Candidate with 4-6 years of financial analysis, corporate finance, and/or relevant experience acquired in a client advisory role at Amex and/or Big 4 accounting firm, top tier management consulting firm, or multinational investment bank preferred

MBA with a Finance qualification or equivalent experience

Exceptional data analytics/management and Excel-spreadsheet expertise; prior experience constructing and taking end-to-end ownership of complex, scenario-driven, and dynamic financial models

Strong people collaboration in working with multifunctional teams

Strong communication skills, both written and oral; demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams and to understand key business issues and concerns from multiple perspectives. Fluency in English is a requirement.

Capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently; effective at prioritizing multiple work-streams and meeting tight internal and external partner deadlines
