We are seeking a Sales Operations Lead to partner with AWS Sales Leaders to define, land and execute against our strategic priorities. This role will drive predictability in reporting and analyzing business trends as well as participating in strategic planning for the business. The ideal candidate has broad technical skills, strong financial acumen and a deep analytic background to assist the Sales teams in creating efficiency, assessing performance and reporting & delivering results.

This position will be responsible for managing the rhythm of the business activities such as Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and other cadenced reporting and metrics. The position will assist the Sales Managers in evaluating and forecasting attainment against quotas, utilizing various CRM tools to derive well-vetted analysis, and other ad-hoc requests and analysis as needed. This position will also be responsible for generating commission plans, managing the territory definitions and account movements, and calculating commissions.

This individual will need to collaborate effectively with internal end-users and cross-functional data teams to solve problems, implement new reporting solutions, and deliver successfully against high standards. A successful individual is a person that has a proven work ethic that drives the desired results. This is a hands-on position - the ideal candidate must be willing to roll up the sleeves.

This position will work with the several stakeholders supporting the extended AWS ASEAN Startup Sales organization, such as Business Development, Marketing, Professional Services, and the Partner team. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Define the key sales support systems/processes required to meet the rapid growth of the business and develop mechanisms that enable scale.

· Manage the development of continuously-evolving forecast models and methodologies, owning the quantitative analysis of the performance of our sales team, customers, prospects, partners, markets, and products/services.

· Manage the monthly cadence of business reporting.

· Develop relationships and processes with sales, partner, finance, HR, sales operations, and other stakeholders to identify and address reporting issues.

· Assist Sales Managers in all aspects of evaluating their teams performance.

· Ensure accurate and timely sales commission calculations and payments.

· Identify reporting issues, gaps in processes, and drive timely resolution.

Basic Qualifications

· At least 5 years of leading a divisional Sales Operations function or similar responsibilities supporting a mid-to-large scale multi-geographical hi-tech Sales Organization

· Experience in multiple organizational functions such as compensation, forecasting, organizational development, etc.

· Demonstrated ability to define, refine and implement sales processes, procedures and policies

· Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations

The AWS Public Relations team is at the forefront of shaping communications that help customers and APN Partners maximize the benefits of cloud computing.

AWS is looking for an experienced PR professional who is passionate about working with Public Sector customers in government, education, non-profits, scientific research and healthcare organization across Asia Pacific (APAC).

A self-starter, this regional role will build trust and long-term relations with Public Sector customers and partners in their cloud adoption journey. The candidate engages and grooms customer advocates across Asia Pacific while updating and maintaining the bank of Public Sector customer use cases. This will involve working cross-functionally with Public Sector business teams in identifying and qualifying customers, developing storylines with compelling news angles, and determining the optimal multi-pronged approach in telling stories to generate a regular cadence of high impact media coverage about transformational impact of cloud in Public Sector organizations.

The candidate will work as a trusted partner with business functions and collaborate with in-country PR managers and marketing teams. The role will be expected to produce a range of customer advocacy PR assets, including press releases and media alerts, byline articles, thought leadership stories, and social media content. The role will also engage with public sector-focused reporters in select global and regional media to pitch stories, support media training with spokespeople, and guide customers in telling their stories.

Part of your professional challenges will be:

· Identifying, qualifying and engaging with Public Sector customers across Asia Pacific in building their story profiles.

· Crafting storylines and compelling content that have strong news angle with customers/partners, updating the use cases regularly in a central depository with market-ready messaging for regional spokespeople

· Building detailed plans for regional public sector customer story campaigns to create a cadence of PR opportunities for adaptation by in-country PR managers

· Identifying trends and hot topics, developing regional media pitches, media alerts, blog posts, opinion pieces for regional spokespeople

· Building and maintaining strong relationships with customer/partner advocates

· Developing relationships with select global and regional media and public sector-focused reporters/bloggers/influencers

· Developing programs for customer- and partner-led engagements at major events globally, including re:Invent and AWS Summits.

Basic Qualifications

- Minimum 7 years as a PR practitioner

- Bachelors degree

- Experience in working directly with end user customers/partners in building and pitching their stories for 3+ years

- Experience in working with technology industry

- Excellent media relations with public sector-focused reporters/ bloggers/ influencers, regional or global media

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in working with public sector organizations for 2+ years

- Proven track record and results, preferably in Public Sector

- Experience in working across functions and collaborating with teams in Asia Pacific for 3+ years

- Passionate in working with Public Sector organizations and customers

- Self-starter who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done

- Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment

- Attention to details with high judgement

- Excellent oral and writing skills
