UI have been operating successfully as an alternate Route to Market (RtM) to complement Multi-Country Organizations (MCOs) to serve these white spaces through a network of 500 market expansion service providers and specialists via seeding initiatives. The market expansion providers or distributors in countries provide brand building and customer development services to UI under the agreed operating frameworks using the brand toolkits provided. UI have strategically evolved its portfolio from availability led growth to seeding in the last 5 years.

JOB SUMMARY

Business Partnering – Working closely with Supply Chain team, as one point of contact for supply chain finance related matters.

Analyze and provide insight on the supply chain cost and KPIs (product cost, logistics cost, business waste, supply chain overheads, inventory, gross margin, etc), gross profit and gross margin variance analysis, control the cost incurred, forecast the future cost, and drive actions for cost reduction and efficiency.

Business Partnering – Working closely with all business teams (supply chain, procurement, business development) on new project, eg: new sourcing, alternative sourcing, cost saving project, capex investment, new business flow, etc). Create business case, analyze the cost and profitability, understand each components of the cost, challenge the price and cost necessarily.

Partner with Supply Chain team to drive and monitor cost saving initiatives to deliver supply chain efficiency, cost avoidance, and margin improvement.

Purchase price review and analysis, understand the drivers of the cost movement, perform cost benchmarking. Drive accountability behind the actions. Work closely with Procurement and Sourcing Unit Finance teams to provide accurate price.

Analyze and understand the impact of commodities price movement, and exchange rates to the cost and margin.

Provide visibility and insights of supply cost to support business decision making.

Support in integration and analysis of new business opportunities and Projects. Including: Financial Flow Modeling, Operational Setup, Business case and KPIs.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

5 years of experience in Financial Analysis

Experience in one of the Business partnering roles, especially Supply Chain, Procurement

Commercial support and decision support (including preparing financial models and ROI analysis)

Experience in Investment evaluation, analysis and KPIs.

Strong Analytical capabilities with bias to Drive Action.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, SAP and BW operational Knowledge.

Knowledge on reporting tools, eg: Power BI will be advantage.

Background & Purpose of the Job

We’re looking for a leader with a passion for consumer experience innovation. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can identify and develop whitespaces. This individual will use his or her product management experience and international experience to drive execution of new-to-market consumer products. This role focuses on innovation and new product development Planning for Unilever International Americas, focusing on the north American region launching personal care, home care and foods products. The Assistant Innovation Planning Manager will help develop the ways of working and capabilities for both UAPL and UASCC transactions.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

This Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing key stakeholders across the business and across all work levels. He/She will work closely with the Central Singapore Innovation Team as well as the respective Unilever International Hubs. He/She will work closely with the North America Business Development Managers and Marketing Teams to deliver the NPD plan. Once launched, He/She will seamlessly hand over the business to the Customer Service and Demand/Supply Planning teams. This planner is to work with cluster Brand Development, R&D, and the cross functional innovation project teams (IPTs), managing Innovation and Renovation projects to and On Time In Full (OTIF) launch. This includes development and management of timelines with the combined project team for each project, as well as conflict resolution when issues that threaten OTIF delivery arise.

Manage North Asia SC execution as a receiving unit:

• Manage new item set up for items introduced to the North Asia cluster via UL International through coordination with MDM, Finance, local and strategic SC, Procurement, brand and CD.

o Comfortable navigating Unilever support systems to provide logistic information for UI clusters.

• Partner with cluster Brand Building and Customer Development to validate volumes and business case for new sourcing.

• Build and maintain innovation timeline with inputs from broader project team, holding cross-functional team members accountable for on-time delivery of their tasks to ensure key milestones are achieved OTIF

• Support monthly NPD calls with UI Senior Leadership and UINA cross functional team to evaluate risk and escalate where necessary

o Update and communicate risk management plans developed by project team

• Support the establishment of Service Level Agreements with Sourcing Units including: Quality Requirements, Lead Time, MOQ/Order Increment and other identified cluster requirements.

• Deliver SC KPI to Target. Eg: Project OTIF, Stock Levels, Cost.

• Further develop proper NPD hand off strategy with SC counterparts once projects have been delivered on time and in full

• Further develop ways of working across the UI Hubs to leverage NPD best practice
