Wholesale KYC Operations is undergoing significant amounts of change and disruption industry, technology, and organizational. It is critical to develop and execute on a strategy that will enhance the organizations business and operational model and position it for continued success.

Role Description:

We are seeking an Executive Director level candidate to lead our APAC regional coverage for Policy & Program Management. The role will report directly to Betsy LaVelle, the Head of WKO Policy and Program Support. The APAC regional lead will directly manage the Policy and Program Management resources based in the EMEA region, primarily London and Bournemouth. The role will matrix report to the Global Policy and Program Management Executive Directors to ensure alignment of global priorities and execution. The Regional Lead will also closely partner with the GFCC, Production and Quality regional teams to ensure we have well defined processes and procedures to solve for end to end execution in a client and KYC user centric approach.

Responsibilities include:

Partner closely with the global heads of Policy and Program Management to ensure global alignment of priorities and approaches to execution while supporting specific regional initiatives and needs.

Build, develop, and manage the regional teams responsible for Policy, Project Management, Procedures, and Change Management/Readiness working closely with Production and Quality to ensure that policies have been implemented as intended and that a sustained execution model is in place.

Partner with Front Office and WKO stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to resolve control gaps in existing processes, establish new processes related to new policy requirements, and enhance operational efficiencies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong background in leadership management disciplines and people management with the ability to lead, develop, coach, and motivate a diverse team.

Experience in working in partnership with Operations management with a proven track record supporting large teams across multiple global locations.

Strong ability to build relationships with and influence colleagues, business leaders and functional partners.

Confident communicator with ability to provide clear and succinct verbal and written updates.

Approaches role with a client and user experience lens solving for changes in an end to end manner.

Experience in leading teams undergoing a high amount of change.

Understanding of relevant statutory and regulatory requirements within the region in relation to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing to facilitate sustainable solutioning of processes.

Consultative in approach, understanding and anticipating business partner needs and proactively delivering solutions.

Drives critical thinking and proactively seeks out best practices, anticipates clients future needs and collaborates on ideas with others. Understands clients needs and impact on relationship across J.P. Morgan.

Ability to drive issue resolution, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute consistently on deliverables and communicate status updates and strategic direction.

The Markets Product Control team within IB Finance and Business Management produces daily P&L and risk reporting, performs balance sheet and capital management functions and ensures the accuracy and integrity of the Financial Statements. The team partners closely with Front Office, Business Management, Financial Control, Middle Office, VCG, and Market Risk to drive the control agenda across the business.

The successful candidate should demonstrate strong knowledge in the 3 core Product Controls areas:

1- Balance Sheet Usage, Funding and Regulatory Reporting

2-Product Knowledge and daily PnL reporting

3-Good understanding of Risk

Responsibilities:

• Production and oversight of daily PnL and Risk reports, with relevant understanding of the drivers

• Monitoring and understanding of the Business Balance Sheet and work with managers to optimize it

• Prepare, verify accuracy, and perform variance analysis for monthly and quarterly regulatory reporting disclosures.

• Constant focus on operating efficiently and improving processes while maintaining a strong control environment.

• Participate and drive in several on-going and ad-hoc projects

• Be the Business go-to person for any financial information

Qualifications:

• Develop and maintain key relationships with senior managers in Front Office, Business Management and Support functions.

• Be comfortable liaising with business and risk managers and exerting influence over these partners when necessary to further the control agenda.

• Be a highly-motivated individual who is able to handle a high level of complexity in their product coverage.

• Shift focus of task with relative ease in accordance with changing priorities and be comfortable dealing with a sometimes stressful, fast-paced trading and month end priority-driven environment.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the end to end control environment

• Understand the regulatory, credit, market risk, tax and accounting issues as they relate to the product or legal entities the business transacts within.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business

• CA, CPA Qualified - desirable

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in similar role

• Deep understanding of principles of P&L and Risk management for derivatives

• Strong understanding of Balance Sheet and how it applies to a markets business

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Excellent desktop/spreadsheet/database skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure
