Principal responsibilities of the IBD Client Onboarding team are:

• Conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks as part of onboarding for Goldman Sachs to meet its Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance obligations and other regulatory requirements.

The Client Management team sits within Goldman Sachs Asset Management Operations and constitutes of Institutional Oversight and Anti-Money Laundering.

Institutional Oversight (IO) has primary responsibility for all aspects of institutional account onboarding, portfolio accounting, cash management, client reporting, and serves as the single point of contact for all operations related client inquiries.

Anti-Money Laundering are responsible for conducting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks as part of onboarding for Goldman Sachs to meet its Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance obligations and other regulatory requirements. The team covers all product areas offered in the firm, so working knowledge of the operational flow of a wide variety of products is an asset. The team also works closely with Technology to design new system enhancements to improve efficiencies and controls, and they work with Compliance to define and implement firm policies and controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

•Contacting business stakeholders to obtain AML information and documentation for their clients.
•Holistic ownership and understanding of client accounts from a GSAM Operations perspective by coordinating client events and issues across all operations teams and business partners, and act as a single point of contact for GSAM Operations
•Coordinate and manage tasks across a multi-disciplined team to ensure all operational information relating to an account event is received and systems are set up prior to account trading activity
•Liaise with client's appointed counterparties (custodian, prime broker etc.) to enable connectivity, establish operational flows and respond to service requests and inquiries.
•Interpret and determine Operational client requirements and service standards from legal documentation and business requirements supporting all account events. Coordinate controls and sign-offs both internally and externally.
•Proactively review indicators of operational issues/concerns with the goal of resolving such issues before client impact
•Participate in regular meetings with the program team to maintain clarity around workflow, develop required reporting and identify and implement efficiencies
•Scalability analysis of workflow cost drivers and trends to help drive process improvements and efficiency, budgeting and cost allocation to various revenue producing desks

Basic Qualifications

•Minimum 2-3 years professional experience
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; skills in Business Intelligence tools (Alteryx, Tableau, RPA, AI) will be beneficial
•Experience in liaising with business contacts on a global basis
•Excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal form. Confidence to deal professionally and persuasively with clients and senior figures within the firm

YOUR IMPACT

Liquidity Operations is the firm's "central bank" for managing the firm's overall funding positions. The team works in a time sensitive environment in which accuracy of processing and timely escalation and communication with the various Operations teams, Corporate Treasury and the firm's external Nostro Agent Banks is essential to a smooth settlement process.

The successful candidate will work in the cash management team to support daily cash funding, new business build-out, and also aggressively drive forward control and efficiency initiatives. Liquidity Operations Cash Management manages short term liquidity by forecasting the firm's daily cash requirements. Liquidity Operations then distributes the liquidity across Goldman Sachs' entities and bank accounts via intercompany loans (between different Goldman Sachs entities) or intracompany transfers (within the same entity). The team also partners with various agent banks to secure and manage the intraday liquidity to facilitate the successful cash settlement across all products/markets for the firm. Additional responsibilities include anticipating short-term borrowing needs and securing necessary funding, investing excess cash balance in short-term money market instruments.

•Assist the GSAM Compliance team in Singapore in providing advice to the various regional teams in their day-to-day business operations, including providing advice on products and business initiatives;

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

•University degree holder;
•Minimum of 4 years of compliance, legal, audit or other control function experience preferably covering equities and/or fixed income sales and trading or asset management;
•Takes ownership of tasks/projects and is detail oriented;
•Ability to manage client expectations and competing priorities and follow up proactively on issues;
•Good analytical skills and ability to exercise judgment;
•Inquisitive and able to work independently in identifying risks and proposing solutions;
•Strong oral and written communication skills, as the role requires frequent interaction with various groups within the region and across the globe;
•Strong team player, able to coordinate and seek information from different parts of the firm;
•Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and have a positive, hands-on, "can do" attitude;

Preferred Qualifications

•Knowledge of asset management regulations and / or exchange rules for listed securities, futures and derivatives and/or asset management industry and related regulatory policies;
•Knowledge of Chinese Walls, information barriers and handling of material non-public information;
•Fluency in English with Chinese or other Asian language skills an advantage as this role will involve interaction with colleagues based within the region.

Team Description

The Execution team provides is at the forefront of best execution for our customers. It bridges the gap across the various trading platforms and venues we participate on, and between the sales trading and execution teams within the business, both in Singapore and Regionally/Globally. There is also an element of client connectivity both at the Corporate and Institutional level .

The team is also responsible for selling, managing and developing the electronic trading capabilities of the firm.

Sales - Includes sales, marketing and acquisition. We pitch the full suite of electronically tradable products, including Equities, Futures, Options and Synthetics, and discuss the DMA and algorithmic trading execution channels. We work closely with the more traditional businesses within Equities, such as Cash Sales Trading, Program Trading and Prime Brokerage in order to target DMA and Algorithmic business from existing customers as well as the outright acquisition of new customers.

OUR IMPACT

Accounting Services Division (ASD) is part of the Operations division of Goldman Sachs based at 3 offices across the globe (Singapore, Bengaluru and Dallas). The core functions of ASD are:

1) Accounts Payable - the processing and control of the payments to vendors/service providers the firm engages to run the businesses

2) Expense management - the settlement of employees' travel and entertainment expenses

We interact with the stakeholders from all the divisions in the firm and work effectively with our partner companies who support the operational processes/employee's expense programs. Current key focus in ASD is transforming the traditional manual processing to automated, scalable and self-service workflow in order to manage risks effectively and bring in commercial values to the firm.

In Singapore ASD, we interact with local vendors/banks in markets such as Japan, China, Korea etc where the local language capability is required to perform the functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONSHOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

•Manage payments to vendors/service providers for Asia entities - vender profile set up and invoice processing in PeopleSoft Accounts Payable system.
•Manage the Travel and Entertainment expenses for Asia offices on an accurate and timely basis in accordance with firm policies.
•Acquire in depth understanding of the regulations, tax handling and accounting controls in multiple jurisdictions in Asia associated with vendor/expense payments.
•Understand and adhere the firm's policies on vendor governance, payment management and documentations.
•Review and maintain operational procedures in compliance with the Firm's Bank Holding Company requirements.
•Exception management - Work with internal business units and external vendors to resolve any payment issues/queries.
•Risk Management - Continuously re-evaluate process controls and balance the risk versus benefits to protect the firm. Recommend and implement corrective & preventive actions for identified errors and issues.
•Conduct data analysis to identify the trend/root cases in order to effectively engage the stakeholders to address problems and opportunities for improvements.
