Basic Qualifications

The FICC Systematic Market Making (SMM) business consolidates and expands the firm’s electronic market making and algorithmic trade execution. As part of the SMM Engineering team, SMM Production Engineers partner with SMM Trading to develop and support the pricing and execution services for the firm and its clients. Regulatory Operations has responsibility for position and trade reporting for the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) and CSA (Canadian Standards Association) obligations. The Regulatory Operations Dallas team’s mission is to support Regulatory Operations in the production of various transaction and position reports within the Americas. The team plays an integral role in ensuring that the Firm meets its regulatory reporting obligations. The Team consists of talented and highly motivated individuals who are extensively involved in the preparation of the mandated reports, as well as the implementation of effective control processes, efficiency initiatives, BCP, and other department initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Develop expert knowledge pertaining to derivatives regulatory requirements, processes and systems for a number of transactions and position based Regulatory reports
Oversee the implementation efforts of new rules or changes within existing obligations
Provide oversight of the impact assessments done on these reports for new markets, new products, business reorganizations, system changes and new/changed regulations
Investigate, remediate and provide supervisory guidance on issues with these reports and develop control improvements
Improve current processes, procedures and reports including automation of manual processes
Contribute to strategic initiatives relating to these reports, for example strategic Technology developments

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

Build and maintain a strong Business relationship with various trading, banking and sales desks across Asia
>Coordinate with external clients and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or exceptions to ensure the timely execution verbal affirmations and legal confirmations
Partner with Legal, Compliance and Operations team to ensure full compliance with financial regulatory reforms, internal risk management protocols and industrywide market practice
Implement Firm polices for governing the confirmation process to strengthen fraud prevention controls globally
>Support the buildout of systems and process to accommodate regulatory, industry, and new business initiatives
>Partner with regional and global Operations teams to execute on broad base strategies and projects

 
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications

Documentation experience, ideally within Commodities, will be an added advantage.
>Minimum 3 years of working experience with knowledge of current industry/regulatory focuses and ISDA documentation framework a plus.
>BA or BS degree required
>Strong problem solving and analytical skills
>Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
Excellent team player, able to work well inside a group and broadly across an organization
>Proven ability to organize and prioritize own workload and drive results
>Ability to multitask and work in high pressure environment
>Strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated confidence in communicating in a variety of forums and with varied audiences
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment; able to work independently and as a self-starter, as appropriate
>Attention to details and a sense of urgency in escalating and resolving outstanding issues
>Japanese language capabilities – both written and spoken, will be a plus

OUR IMPACT
>Treasury Services is a sub division of the Operations Division. As a global, multi-faceted and cross product sub division, the primary objectives are to mitigate counterparty credit risk through the active monitoring of clients’ derivative and securities financing portfolios while optimizing the firm’s liquidity.  Treasury Services is currently 300+ staff strong globally, with regional presence in Salt Lake City, Dallas, New York, London, Bangalore, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and many other offices working closely together.

With the firm’s growing investment in the payment space, a centralized Cash Controls organization is being created in Treasury Services to help protect the firm’s regulatory, financial, and reputational risks from increasing fraud threats and sanctions regulation in the rapidly evolving banking landscape. 
>The new team will be primarily based in hub locations with high degree of interaction with other divisions and the firm’s senior leadership.
>The new Centralized Payment Instruction Authentication function will be service to all clients across the firm while streamlining the process to be innovative and industry-leading via a combination of latest cyber-technology and industry best practices
>This role will be responsible for helping to establish the centralized team to manage the day to day payment authentication process and working with the global team to define and build out the target operating model for this function

Working to help create the BAU activity for central payment authentication including liaising with the teams that are transferring the function, creating the procedures and helping to standardise the function for all Business Units
Day to day responsibility for sourcing independent contacts at the client to verify the accuracy of payment instructions
Working with the global team to design the target operating model and write the requirements for the Technology enhancements.

Bachelor’s degree with minimum of one year(Analyst ) and three years (Associate) of full time Operations work experience and
