You will
need to appreciate and understand the multi businesses from Consumer Banking
Group, Institutional Banking Group to Treasury and Markets. A key component of
this program is to ensure that the Performance Management capability is fit for
purpose for the bank and is able to produce timely and accurate Performance
Management reports on a daily basis.
 
To be
successful, you will need to have strong working knowledge of Management
Information System (MIS) and Enterprise Performance Management, good
understanding of Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), and Rates sourcing process.
Strong technical and functional background to Finance Systems and ability to
understand the big picture and deliver outcomes to tight deadlines is highly
desirable.
 
 
Responsibilities

Responsible for documenting test scripts, defining UAT entry and
exit criteria, and coordinating UAT in collaboration with the test
manager, and performing financial reconciliation as part of UAT and live
verification.
Act as an escalation point for solution issues in the Production
environment and during projects.
Responsible for gaining agreement on solution business requirements
with domain SME’s and other stakeholders concerned
Own and manage data repository and own the maintenance of all the
data logics being put in place

 
The role

Data Analyst

Broad knowledge of transaction processing systems
for all banking products, the transaction lifecycle and the financial
impact from an MIS perspective.
Strong ability to work across various
stakeholders (finance, technology and operations)

Rates Application Administrator

Working knowledge of integration with Rates provider (Reuters,

Requirements

Degree in Banking, Finance, or Computer Science field, or correspondingly,
10 -12 years' of relevant experience in the banking industry
Strong functional skills with the ability to elicit business
requirements
Solid Excel, data analysis, and SQL skills.
Extensive experience partnering with Technology team is a must
Good knowledge of banking products, general ledger, finance

P&L reporting and controls
Development, implementation and completion of daily Treasury P&L reporting for multiple countries across the group, which includes the following main products but not limited to:

There are bankwide initiatives that are associated with this role within Treasury and finance transformational/ change processes. Some of these initiatives includes but not limited to:
Legal entity re-alignment/ restructuring.
Finance general ledger overhauls and process improvement.
Hedge effectiveness testing using Sabre Cortex enhancement.
Projects and initiatives around Brexit initiatives
Any other financial related initiatives.
Accounting- book keeping

There should be ample working and practical accounting knowledge and experiences within financial institutions. The candidate needs to be familiar of how sub ledger/ full ledger function and display working knowledge relating to double entries for common financial products. Candidate with working knowledge around hedge accounting would be advantageous but not integral.

Controls and professional skepticism
The candidate needs to have experiences working in a control related role. Possession of controls mindset around P&L and balance processes. Working concept of FOBO break between front end system vs back end books and records. An individual who can follow through the details and independently resolved the breaks with respective stakeholders.

The candidate would also need to exercise professional skepticism from time to time to challenge status quo. Have an inquisitive mind, to find out the reasoning behind individual process and things that are unexplained.   

Our Ideal Candidate
Essential
At least 6-8 years of Product Control experience.
Ability to deal with conflict, and remain positive when under pressure
Customer-focused approach
A strong internal control environment, which will ensure the Treasury to continue to grow in a stable and well-controlled manner.
Track record of working in a very organized way, multi-tasking, prioritising, managing data, and setting and achieving deadlines (both short and medium term)
Desirable
Experience in an international professional services / banking environment
Proven experience in working in a complex matrix, with a broad base of cultures, dealing with demanding and fast-paced client groups
Demonstrable knowledge of banking / divisions
Working Knowledge on Hedge accounting and Treasury Business

Profitability Management System) and EPMS (Enterprise Performance Management
System). You are expected to work closely with Technology support teams and
Business Finance users in resolving issues, answering user queries and ensuring
timely completion of the Finance month end close. You are also expected to
continuously improve systems and processes to shorten Finance close and
participate in on-going projects and change initiatives impacting CPMS/EPMS.
 
Responsibilities

Support the day to day operations of the Bank’s
Finance MIS applications (CPMS and EPMS) for the Group, including
reviewing health-check reports, trend analysis, resolving exceptions,
updating configurations, etc
Support Business Finance users on their queries,
clarifications and requests promptly. Provide guidance to users on
questions relating to MIS applications and reporting/querying tools
Support daily and monthly BAU processing of both
CPMS and EPMS as part of Group Finance close, ensuring the Finance MIS results
are delivered to Business Finance users within the stipulated deadlines.
Promptly raise system and data issues to
Technology support teams if a problem is found. Track and follow-up on all
issues reported, ensuring they are being investigated, root cause analysis
provided and fixed. Provide additional findings and inputs to Technology
where possible to expedite issue resolution
Partner CPMS / EPMS Change Management Team in
performing impact analysis on CPMS and EPMS when new systems or products are
introduced upstream. Provide requirements and support user acceptance
testing (UAT) according to the project scope and impact to CPMS / EPMS
Identify areas for improvement, optimisation and
standardization in the normal course of work to streamline current
processes and improve accuracy, ensure completeness and reduce turnaround
time when delivering Finance MIS results to Business Finance users
Manage tight daily and monthly processing
timelines, resources and deliverables effectively while supporting
multiple locations concurrently. Adept at anticipating needs and problems
to ensure successful and timely delivery of Finance MIS results to end
users

 
Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science
or Engineering-related field 
Possess strong understanding of technical aspects
(including system design, logics and processes, data model/lineage) and
business subject matter expertise (including accounting, MIS concepts,
FTP, performance reporting, etc) that can be leveraged to identify and
resolve issues in a timely fashion
Experience in an operational or project related
role – preferably having worked with Finance MIS / Performance Management
Applications.
Possess knowledge of commercial banking products
and related financial accounting and MIS reporting principles, in areas
like Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), customer profitability analysis,
product profitability analysis, etc. Having prior hands-on experience
would be an advantage.
Understand MIS systems technology and design,
with exposure to both traditional RDBMS like DB2 and DFS like Big Data
Hadoop Eco system applications
Current user or possess good understanding of
various reporting/data query tools like OBIEE, Celerity, Tableau, Business
Objects and Hyperion is preferred
Experience working with diverse stakeholders
Minimum 6 years' relevant experience in financial
services industry
